Photo Journalism

Context

The truth in Photo Journalism is not alway real. This is because photo's can be manipulated in many ways. The ways they can be manipulated are by computers, like Photoshop and selecting the subjects in your shot, like cropping it down.

Decisive Moment

The Decisive Moment is where you wait untill the right time of your subject happens. If you take the shot a second before or second after, the photo would be completely different.


There are debaits where is the decisive moment truthful, or has the photographer got people to 'act' in the shot.

Technology

The camera that Henri Cartier Bresson used was one of the top camera's of that time. The camera is called a Leica.




Robert Cappa

Robert Cappa was a war photographer, who rose to fame during World War 2. He was hailed as the worlds greatest war photographer. Being a war photographer, you risk your life and are given standard army equipment.
